This elegant, antique fruit wood dining room table was crafted in Italy, circa 1830. The intricate table features a solid top made from a single walnut plank and embellished with scrolling foliate marquetry and a decorative inlay cherry band around the perimeter. The two carved legs base is connected with a scalloped stretcher, and embellished with a large scroll motif in the center. The Baroque style table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich two-tone walnut patina; versatile; versatile, it could be used as a wonderful breakfast room table, a writing desk in an office , or as a console behind a sofa or against a wall.
