Mid-20th Century Bentwood Swivel “Perroquet” Coat Stand or Hat Rack Thonet Style
Bring a retro, yet practical touch to any entry or dressing area with this elegant, carved coat stand. The useful stand was crafted in France, circa 1930 in the style of German-Austrian cabinet maker, Michael Thonet (1796-1871). The hall tree features a swivel top with two rows of eight hooks each, so it could be used as a dual hat and coat rack. The stand with four legs has a wide, sturdy base for ultimate stability and a ring to hold umbrellas upright. The rack is in excellent condition and has a rich walnut patina throughout.
