Mid-20th Century French Bamboo Brass and Glass Table Style Maison Baguès, Paris
Crafted in France circa 1950, and attributed to Maison Baguès in Paris, the elegant, midcentury brass side table is both useful and stylish. The petite table has a popular faux bamboo frame with wonderful, clean lines and a modern, neoclassical sensibility; the frame is further embellished with cone shape top finials. The two-tier table is dressed with inset glass surfaces, the bottom tainted, the top with a smoked mirror. The table is in excellent condition with a rich patinated gilt finish. Place it in a living room, library, office or bedroom, whichever is your go-to reading room! Since 1860, The Maison Baguès has been located in the center of Paris and specializes in the creation of luxury furniture and lighting. Early on, it became the emblem of French “Savoir-Faire” in wrought iron work, along with French craftsmanship, which is highly valued internationally. Measures: 22.65″ W x 13″ D x 18″ H.
