Place this antique clock on a mantel or a desk; crafted in Germany circa 1950, the elegant time keeper sits on four paw feet over an intricate apron decorated with torch and swag motifs. The bronze clock is decorated with painted porcelain column on each side; it features a colorful hand painted medallion plaque on the front depicting a courting scene in a garden. The pediment features a painted porcelain shape urn topped with a gilt finial and side rings. The center clock face with porcelain and floral decor has a front protective glass and the mechanism has been checked and cleaned; it is in excellent working order, keeping good time and chiming on the hour and half an hour. The time keeper is in excellent condition with a rich patinated gilt finish. Winding key included.
