Hand carved in Southern France circa 1960, the large display cabinet decorated with floral and leaf motifs throughout, is built in two sections. The top part with volutes features a bonnet top over the clock casing with glass, a violin shape center door for the weights and pendulum, and with three rows of shelving flanked with two side doors and small drawers. Opening the small doors, it reveals two inside shelves. The bottom section stands on escargot feet over a carved scalloped apron, and features three large doors with inside shelving over drawers across the front, all with locks, keys and handles. The clock movement with repousse brass face, has been checked and cleaned, and is in wonderful working order keeping good time and chiming on the hour and half hour. The “Bressan Vaisselier Horloge” is in excellent condition with wonderful carved motifs, abundance of storage, and adorns a rich walnut patina. Pendulum, two weights, winding key, and 5 keys included. Measures: 89.75″ W x 23.5″ D x 101″ H.
