Decorate a study or office with this elegant pair of antique desk armchairs. Crafted in Provence, France, circa 1880, each corner chair has an arched back decorated with a shell motif at the pediment. The traditional corner chair stands on five cabriole legs decorated with acanthus leaves at the shoulders and ending with escargot feet. The bombe scalloped apron is embellished with shell decor and the curved armrests are decorated with scroll motifs. The comfortable, classically French seat is dressed with a black leather upholstery, embellished with decorative brass nail heads. The rounded back is also upholstered with leather. The timeless armchairs are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich walnut patina throughout. Measures: 24″ W x 24″ D x 35″ H.
