Make a statement of elegance in your home with this important pair of antique wall sconces; crafted in Italy circa 1780, and shaped as a shield, each fixture has three metal arms. Each sconce features hand carved acanthus leaf and scroll decor at the pediment and bottom, and the center is further embellished with a grey oval medallion decorated with soft green laurel leaf motif around the perimeter. The elegant and colorful sconces are in excellent condition with a rich polychrome and gilt finish of light green and rust patinated paint; use them with candles on either side of a mantel or wire them for additional light in a powder room or dining room.
