Pair of 19th Century Chicken Paintings in Gilt Frames Signed E. Coppenolle
These beautiful antique chicken paintings were created in Belgium, circa 1880, painted on board and set inside the original carved gilt frame, each art work depicts a “Basse- Cour”, (or farm house scene) with chicken and roosters feeding and drinking. Both pieces are signed in the bottom right corner by the artist E. Coppenolle. The paintings are in excellent condition with rich colors.
Edmond Van Coppenolle (1846-1914) was born in Belgium but was very active in France as well. Well known for his still life and chicken paintings.
