Decorate a kitchen counter or a shelf with this elegant pair of antique Majolica vases. Crafted in Montigny sur Loing, France, circa 1860, each ornate vase sits on an ornate brass base ending with mask scrolled feet; it is further decorated at the top with a pierced and scalloped rim dressed with lion figures handles. Each faience vessel features colorful hand painted flowers and leaves sculpted in high relief on both sides. The ceramic barbotine vases are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use and adorn rich colors in the pink and green palette on a black and grey background. Markings on the bottom for further authentication. Measures: 8″ W x 6″ D x 12″ H.
