These large antique trophy plaques were created in France, circa 1880. Set on carved oval walnut boards, each wall hanging decor feature a detailed carved bird in high relief, tied upside down to foliage embellishments with a rope at the base. The birds, a curlew and an outarde are rare hunt birds with beautiful plumage. The detailed bird figures panels are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, exquisitely carved and have a rich patinated bronze finish.
