Pair of 19th Century French Carved Variegated Marble and Bronze Cassolettes
Crafted in France, circa 1870, these antique vases are made of marble and sit on square bases. The substantial 19th century French marble vessels feature decorative cone-shaped bronze finials at the top, two side handles with ram figures, and decorative ring mounts around the periphery and over the base. The large, carved cassolettes has variegated marble colors, are in excellent condition with a rich patinated gilt bronze decor (one tiny Horn tip missing; see last picture). Place these large vessels on a mantel or a console for undeniable Parisian, French elegance.
