Pair of 19th Century French Carved Variegated Marble and Gilt Bronze Cassolettes

Crafted in France, circa 1870, these antique urns are made of marble and stand on square bronze bases decorated with leaf motifs. Each marble vessel features a decorative cone-shaped bronze finial at the pediment, a pair of bronze side handles with swan face figures and foliage décor, each vase is further embellished with floral swag mounts draping around the periphery under the traditional Louis XVI ribbon bow. The large, carved cassolettes with variegated marble colors, are in excellent condition with a rich patinated gilt bronze finish. Place these large vases on a mantel or a console for undeniable Parisian, French elegance. The urns could also be converted into beautiful table lamps. Measures: 9″ W x 7″ D x 18″ H.
