About
Bring colors to your mantel with this pair of antique majolica vases. Crafted in Southern France, circa 1880, this ceramic composition is a Classic example of barbotine artistry. The sculptural, porcelain pieces features a fruit motif with yellow pears in high relief, complete with stems and leaves. The intricate vases have a hand-painted green finish, while the griffon handles and bases are an earthy brown shade. Both vases are in very good condition commensurate with age and use, with rich, warm, realistic colors, and a pale blue glaze finish on the inside.
