Pair of 19th Century French Hand Painted Faience Vases from Brittany
These elegant antique vases were crafted in Nantes, France, circa 1880 in the manner of Henriot Quimper. The tall ceramic vases have a long thin neck and a round body; each vessel features hand painted Breton people in traditional clothing, embellished with floral and foliage decor in a traditional green, yellow, blue and white palette. Signed on the bottom, Nantes, France. The colorful vases are in excellent condition with rich patinated painted finish; use them to decorate a table, a shelf or a buffet. Measure: 6″ diameter 15.75″ height.
