Pair of 19th Century French Imari Hand Painted Porcelain and Bronze Table Lamps
Add the perfect amount of chinoiserie into your home with this decorative pair of antique lamps. Created in France circa 1920, and round in shape each porcelain lamp rests on a bronze base, and is decorated at the neck with a bronze mount. The ceramic vases are both hand painted with floral and leaf decor in the traditional rust, white and blue Imari palette. The table lamps are in excellent condition with new wiring. Shades not included. Imari ware is a Western term for a brightly-colored style of Arita ware Japanese export porcelain made in the area of Arita, in the former Hizen Province, northwestern Kyushu. They were exported to Europe in large quantities, especially between the second half of the 17th century and the first half of the 18th century. Measures: 6″ diameter 25″ height.
