Pair of 19th Century French Louis XV Carved Walnut Chairs with Embossed Leather
Place this elegant pair of antique side chairs in a study or library. Crafted in France circa 1860, the large fruitwood chairs have cabriole legs and scroll feet. The traditional chairs feature an ornate frame with deep carvings embellished with floral and shell motifs at the top. Around the back, you’ll find ornate carved decor as well as a scalloped and bowed apron. The side chairs have deep and comfortable seats that are upholstered with a brown, embossed leather studded with decorative brass nail heads. The pair of occasional chairs are in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina throughout.
