Pair of 19th Century French Louis XVI Carved Painted Demilune Console Tables
Decorate an entryway with this elegant pair of antique painted consoles. Crafted in northern France, circa 1880 and shaped as half moon, each Louis XVI style table stands on three tapered and fluted legs decorated with rosette medallions at the shoulder; the bombe table has a curved apron embellished with geometric decor and the top is dressed with a elegant painted finish. The narrow demilune consoles are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich, rubbed patinated painted finish in a classic grey and white palette. Versatile, they could be also placed on both sides of a mantel or a bay window. Measures: 45″ W x 19″ D x 32.75″ H.
