Pair of 19th Century French Louis XVI Hand Painted Two-Drawer Nightstands Chests
Complete your bedroom with this elegant pair of antique two-tone painted bedside cabinets. Crafted in France, circa 1880, each commode stands on tapered fluted legs over side cut spline columns, and decorated with a carved plinth apron embellished with a floral rosette in the center. The chest features two drawers with raised panels decorated with round dots in each corner, and dressed with decorative brass pulls. The surface with elongated front corners, is dressed with a “Trompe l’Oeil” faux marble painted top. The nightstands are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich textured patinated finish in the light grey and white palette. Measures: 32.25″W x 18″ D x 29.25″ H.
