Pair of 19th Century French Louis XVI Mahogany Demi-Lune Chests with Marble Top
Place this elegant pair of chests on either side of a king side bed and use them as nightstands. Crafted in Paris, France circa 1860, each cabinet shaped a half moon stands on fluted legs ending with brass feet. The commode features two bowed drawers across the front dressed with the original pulls and matching escutcheons, and embellished with a decorative brass band around each drawer, and two small bombe doors revealing inside shelving. The top is dressed with the original white marble surface. Both chests of drawers are in excellent condition and adorn a rich French polish finish. They could also be used as side tables in a living room or den. Measures: 29.25″ W x 14″ D x 32.5″ H.
