Pair of 19th Century French Louis XVI Painted Nightstands Bedside Tables
Complete your bedroom with this elegant pair of antique nightstands. Crafted in France, circa 1880, each cabinet stands on tapered fluted legs over side cut spline columns, and decorated with a carved plinth apron. The chest is fitted with a single drawer across the front dressed with the original brass pull hardware, over a center door decorated with recessed panel and embellished with square rosette medallions in each corner; the inside reveals a center shelf for ultimate storage. The top with elongated front corners, is dressed with a hand painted surface. The bedside tables are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich textured patinated and rubbed finish in the beige off white palette. Finished on all four sides, they could also be used as occasional side tables in a den or living room. Measures: 19.25″ W x 17″ D x 31.75″ H.
