Pair of 19th Century French Painted Ceramic Barbotine Vases with Floral Motifs
Beautifully sculpted, this pair of antique Majolica vases would be a wonderful addition to a mantel, tabletop or bookshelf. Crafted in France, circa 1890, each hand painted piece stands on a circular base and features two elegantly sculpted tree branch form handles over a long neck embellished with a scalloped rim at the pediment; each colorful vase is decorated with ornate floral motifs in high relief including blooming dogwoods, buds and green foliage. The vessels are in very good condition and the flowers and leaves have a rich color palette of white, beige and green over a two tone pink background. Markings on the underside with engraved number and letter “L 508 1-5″ for further authentication. Elevate any living room, office, or entryway with this tall and stately porcelain urns.
