Pair of 19th Century French Painted Ceramic Barbotine Vases with Floral Motifs
Beautifully sculpted and colorful, this pair of antique Majolica vases would be a wonderful addition to a mantel, tabletop or bookshelf. Crafted in France, circa 1870, each hand painted piece is covered with ornate floral motifs in high relief including blooming roses and green foliage. The flowers and leaves have a rich color palette of white, purple and green on a pale blue background. Both faience vases stand on a green base decorated with foliage, and feature sculpted branch shape handles. The vessels are in excellent condition with rich and warm colors. Measures: 8″ diameter 12.5″ height.
