Pair of 19th Century French Provincial Carved Cherry Benches on Trestle Bases
Dressed a farm table with this elegant pair of antique provincial benches. Crafted in the southwest region of France, circa 1870, and carved of cherry wood, each farmhouse bench stands on a pair of angled trestle legs with visible mortis and through tenon joinery. The seat is built with one single rectangular board plank and embellished with rounded corners at the end. Both long and narrow benches are in excellent condition and adorn a rich walnut patina; they could also be used in an entry way, hallway, or game room for extra seating. Measures: 74″W x 14.5″D x 19″H.
