Pair of 19th Century Italian Renaissance Carved Walnut Trestle Console Tables
Bring the Italian elegance in your home with this important pair of antique Renaissance console tables. Crafted in Italy circa 1850 and over six feet long, each trestle table built of solid walnut, stands on carved pedestal legs ending with paw feet and decorated with angel face and scrolled motifs. Both carved legs are connected with a thick scalloped stretcher embellished with a center carved shell flanked with scroll decor on the sides. The rectangular tabletop made with one plank, is dressed with a molded edge over the carved apron. Both long and narrow library tables are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich walnut patina. Measures: 75″W x 20″D x 32.5″H.
