Pair of 19th Century Louis XV Carved and Painted Bombe Two-Drawer Commodes
Decorate a master suite with this elegant pair of antique painted chests of drawers. Crafted in France, circa 1890, the commodes with bombe front and sides, stand on cabriole legs over a scalloped apron. Each cabinet features detailed painted geometric and floral motifs on the facade and curved sides, including painted foliage at the shoulder and cherub decor on the apron. Both chests are embellished with a beautiful faux marble top. The commodes are in excellent condition with a rich textured and rubbed paint finish in the blue and grey palette. Very versatile, these commode could also be used on both side of a mantel or in a living room. Measures: 36.75″ W x 18.25″ D x 30.5″ H.
