Pair of Early 19th Century French Wrought Iron Andirons with Fleur-de-Lys
$1,300
About
This pair of antique wrought iron andirons were forged in France, circa 1820. This kind of andiron, which has a cupped, round shaped top, is called a “landier” in French, and was once used in a home as a food warmer. For instance, a bowl of soup could be balanced on the andiron cup to keep it warm. The classic fireplace accessory is in excellent condition and has a rich patinated finish and features a fleur-de-lis welded inside a round ring. Measures: 15″ W x 24″ D x 31″ H. SKU: 152-236
