Pair of Early 20th Century Louis XV Marble Top Walnut Marquetry Nightstands
These elegant antique bedside tables were created in France, circa 1960. Bombe in shape on all three sides, each fruitwood cabinet stands on cabriole legs ending with front brass sabot feet over a scalloped apron decorated with a brass mount; both sides with serpentine shape have inlaid veneer chevron pattern embellished with foliage decor and decorated at the shoulder with brass mounts. Each cabinet features two drawers, embellished with marquetry floral and leaf motifs, and dressed with small brass handles. The surface is decorated with a shaped variegated beige marble top. The Louis XV style bedside tables are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich walnut patina. Measures: 21″ W x 13″ D x 29.75″ H.
