Pair of Mid-19th Century Patinated Greek Terracotta Olive Jars
These elegant antique jars were hand-crafted in Greece circa 1860; round in shape with narrow base and neck, each large vessel features a rolled rim at the top accented with a mustard color glaze finish, and decorated with impressed stamp for further authentication. The wide body is decorated with ribbed ovoid motifs in high relief throughout. The tall Mediterranean olive pots are in excellent condition with wonderful character, and adorn a rich earthenware weathered finish. 90 pounds each. Measures: 25″ diameter 33″ height.
