Pair of Mid-Century French Louis XV Leather Carved Painted and Gilt Fauteuils
Add a pop of color to your office or den with this elegant pair of antique painted and gilt armchairs. Crafted in Provence France circa 1960, each chair stands on cabriole legs decorated with carved floral motifs at the shoulder, and ending with escargot feet, over a scalloped apron embellished with carved foliage. The Provencal painted frame features a pitched back decorated with hand carved floral motifs at the pediment. Both back, wide and deep seat and open armrests are upholstered with a rouge leather upholstery embellished with fine gilt patterned trim. The colorful Louis XV style desk fauteuils are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich two-tone white and parcel gilt patinated painted finish.
