These elegant three-drawer bedside tables were created in France, circa 1980. Bombe in shape on all three sides, each chest stands on cabriole legs ending with bronze sabot feet over a scalloped apron embellished with a brass mount; the sides with serpentine shape, are decorated with two-tone inlaid marquetry veneer. Both shoulders are embellished with bronze acanthus leaf mounts extending down the corners to the feet. The three serpentine drawers are decorated with string inlay and dressed with flourishing brass handles and matching escutcheons. The surface is dressed with a shaped variegated marble top of different shades of red and beige. The nightstands are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich French polish finish. Place these petites commodes on either side of a bed in a master bedroom! Measures: 22.5″ W x 13″ D x 26″ H.
