Add beauty and elegance to a living room with this monumental 9 foot antique trumeau. Crafted in France circa 1770, the parcel gilt and painted frame features carved foliate and garland motifs throughout the top decorated with the traditional Louis XVI ribbon bow above the artwork. The huge piece is dressed at the top with a hand painted oval oil on board painting depicting an outdoor courting scene with a gentleman and two young beauties. The bottom features a rectangular flat mirror from a later addition. The important trumeau mirror is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns rich patinated colors in the soft green palette embellished with gilt accents throughout. Measures: 50.75″ W x 110.5″ H.
