Tall 19th Century Italian Carved Giltwood Pricket Candlestick

This large, antique candlestick was crafted in Italy, circa 1840. The ornate pricket is embellished with carved cherub faces and sits on three scrolled feet. The entire candlestick is decorated with its original gilt finish, but shows significant loss to gesso.
