Decorate a wine cellar or a wet bar with this large and colorful ceramic wine bottle; created in France circa 1984, the trompe l’oeil Methuselah size bottle (6 liters or 8 bottles) truly looks like the real thing. It features the label of the “Chateau La Tour de by, 1984”. The large advertising piece is in excellent condition with fine details and rich hand painted colors.
Château La Tour de By is a large Cru Bourgeois estate, consisting of 73 hectares of vineyards and is located in Bégadan at the viticultural northern extremes of the Médoc. La Tour de By was bought in 1965 by Messieurs Pages, Cailloux and Lapalu – they extended the cuvier and installed new cellars and today the property produces over 40,000 cases of wine a year. The wine is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. It is matured in oak barriques (20% new) for 14 months.
