Crafted in China circa 1980 and shaped as a barrel, the versatile piece can be used as a side table or for extra seating; it stands on five cabriole legs ending with circular bottom stretcher. The round top with scalloped edge sits over a bombe apron and is dressed with hand painted chinoiserie decor with people sitting under a tree. The legs, apron and stretcher are decorated with floral and leaf motifs. The sturdy decorative piece is in excellent condition with rich colors in the red and green palette over a black lacquered background. Measures: 17″ diameter 18″ height.
