Pair of Early 20th Century French Stone Garden Urns Planters by Grandon Freres
$2,200
About
Decorate a garden, backyard, or poolside area with this elegant pair of antique planters. Created in France circa 1920 by Grandon Frères, each cast stone urn is signed with the maker’s round medallion reading “Grandon Fcs – Made in France – Breveté”, and also inscribed with a hand-carved “B” on the interior base. The weathered surface features beautiful natural moss and lichen patina, lending authentic character and age. Each urn showcases a lobed bowl with a wide overhanging rim above a baluster form base resting on a square plinth. The graceful proportions and timeless profile reflect the classic French garden aesthetic. Grandon Frères was known for producing durable, high-quality stonework inspired by 18th- and 19th-century models, and their pieces remain prized by landscape designers and collectors alike. Each measures 19.75 inches in diameter and 13.5 inches high. Excellent condition commensurate with age and use.
