17th Century Spanish Carved Walnut Five-Leg Single Plank Top Console Table
This elegant antique fruitwood console was crafted in Spain, circa 1680. Hand carved on all four sides, the long sofa table stands on five thick turned legs ending with bun feet over a bottom stretcher at the base. The console features a single plank top resting over three drawers across the front embellished with carved geometric and diamant-form motifs; one drawer is further dressed with the original wrought iron pull. The other two drawers have their original locks, with working key. The large table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with lots of character, and adorns a rich and deep walnut patina. Place this large console behind an important sofa in a den, or use it against a wall in a living room under an 18th Century Aubusson tapestry! Measures: 76″W x 25.5″D x 31.5″H.
