This large, antique Aubusson tapestry was woven in France, circa 1760. The colorful scene depicts a group of figures playing “Colin-Maillard” or Blind-man’s Buff, a very popular game in the 18th century. Beautiful red and blue hues are present throughout this magnificent tapestry, and the figures are finely dressed in 18th century French costume. The tapestry has been recently backed with a heavy white canvas fabric. Excellent condition with original border. Measures: 116″ W x 89″ H. SKU: 103-281
