Crafted in Spain circa 1870, this antique side table or writing desk is constructed from solid walnut and features a warm, rich patina developed over time. The rectangular single-plank top is framed with a border of hand-carved floral rosettes, lending both decorative detail and geometric rhythm to the surface. The table rests on bold lyre-shaped legs, deeply carved with scrolling foliage and floral roundels, joined by a shaped hand-forged iron stretcher for added stability and architectural presence. The robust silhouette and fine carving reflect the Spanish Baroque Revival style, which drew inspiration from the grandeur of 17th-century furniture while adapting it for 19th-century interiors.
