19th Century French Baroque Carved Oak Trestle Farm Table with Parquetry Top
$5,600
About
This large antique dining table was crafted in northern France circa 1870. Built in oak, the table stands on a trestle base, supported with hand carved baluster legs connected at the base with a thick stretcher which gives the table a sturdy, monastery look. The wide tabletop with carved edges around the perimeter, features an elegant frame built with parquetry motifs. From the structure to the finish, this monastery style table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a stylish, rich walnut patina with distress. The farm table would sit 8 to 10 people. Measures: 87″ W x 37.5″ D x 29.5″ H.
