19th Century French Henri II Carved Oak Desserte Console with Red Marble Top
Crafted in France circa 1870, the antique Gothic style console stands on barley twist legs ending with bun feet, over a decorative plinth base. The desserte is dressed with a variegated red marble surface set inside a carved edge rectangular frame, over two drawers decorated with mask pulls and floral rosettes in the corners. The desserte is embellished at the bottom with two lower tier shelves for display or storage. The narrow serving table is in very good condition commensurate with age and used, and adorns a rich walnut patina. (Marble restored). Key included. Measures: 47″ W x 18.5″ D x 39″ H.
