Crafted in the Burgundy region of France circa 1860, the large antique gilt mirror has traditional lines with rounded corners; the rectangular thick frame is decorated with a discrete engraved floral motif throughout and embellished with bead decor around the frame. The elegant wall piece is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, dressed with glass and backing from later addition, and adorns a rich and luxurious patinated gold leaf finish. New hooks and wire in the back for easy handling and installation. Versatile and with great proportions and size, the Louis Philippe mirror could be placed over a mantel, in a powder room, bedroom or entryway. Measures: 34″W x 45.75″H.
