This antique French Louis XV style club armchair, crafted circa 1870, features a generous, deeply comfortable form with wide rounded arms and a pitched back crowned by a scalloped crest. The carved wood frame stands on scrolled feet over a scalloped apron and retains a soft white washed painted finish accented with touches of gilt. The chair is upholstered in a warm tan fabric decorated with classic Fleur-de-Lys motifs and finished with decorative brass nailhead trim along the lower rail. A loose down seat cushion provides excellent comfort and inviting depth, making the chair ideal for everyday use as well as display. Well suited for a study, library, or living room, this antique French club armchair offers both comfort and strong decorative presence.
