19th Century French Louis XV Carved Walnut and Leather Adjustable Piano Stool
This carved antique fruitwood stool was created in Provence, France circa 1880. Standing on cabriole legs ending with escargot feet, the piano seating is decorated with floral motifs at the shoulders. The round seating is upholstered with a green leather over a scalloped apron embellished with hand carved flowers and leaf decor. The adjustable seat extends up to 4 additional inches, with a screw mechanism that twists the comfortable seat up and down. The stool is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. 15″ Diameter 19.5″ H.
