Of unusual and eye-catching serpentine form, the frame is richly carved throughout with floral and foliate motifs, including roses, leaves, and a finely detailed bottom cartouche. The arched crest features a decorative wreath over crossed quiver and torch elements, adding a refined neoclassical touch to the otherwise Louis XV style silhouette.
The original mercury glass shows light age and subtle foxing, enhancing the authentic character of the piece.
