19th Century French Louis XV Marquetry and Bronze Ladies Desk with Leather Top
This elegant antique rosewood table was crafted in France, circa 1850. The writing table with serpentine front and bombe sides, stands on cabriole legs dressed with gilt bronze foliate mounts at the shoulders, and ending with scrolled bronze sabots over the feet. The scalloped apron with a large drawer across the front, is dressed with bronze handles and center escutcheon. The top is dressed with a rectangular red leather embellished with gilt tooling around the surface. This beautiful lady’s desk is in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina and gilt ormolu decorations. Key and lock included. Measures: 36″ W x 21″ D x 30″ H.
