Created in France, circa 1870, the elegant antique wall mirror is decorated with intricate repousse decor including a very large cartouche at the pediment featuring a center floral vase with floral and fruit throughout, and flanked with cherub and dolphin motifs in high relief. The center mirror features the original beveled mercury glass with inset smaller mirrors around the periphery, and embellished with flower rosette medallions around the frame. The large Napoleon III wall mirror is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated gilt finish with ebony blackened accents throughout the frame. A wonderful addition to a powder room or entry or in a living room above a mantel. Measures: 40″W x 68″H.
