Early 19th Century French Wall Hanging Aubusson Tapestry

This colorful, antique tapestry was woven in Aubusson, circa 1820. The wall hanging piece features a woman feeding a bowl of soup to a youngster and a trompe l’oeil Baroque frame around the composition. The tapestry is signed on the bottom right with the initials D.LE. The piece is in good condition with an interesting scene strong color in a red, green and beige palette. There’s a new canvas backing and the fringe trim at the bottom can easily be removed. Measures: 29″ W x 53″ H. SKU: 93-218
