Early 20th Century French Art Deco Chrome and Leather Two-Light Table Lamp
$975
About
Crafted in France circa 1930, this antique table lamp combines the streamlined character of the Art Deco period with traditional heraldic decoration. The cylindrical body is wrapped in richly patinated golden-brown leather and centered with an embossed coat of arms beneath a crown. Polished chrome bands frame the upper and lower edges, while small ring handles add further decorative detail to the sides.
A domed chrome cap surmounts the body and supports a slender central stem fitted with two angled light sockets. Newly wired for modern use, the dual-light arrangement provides generous illumination and may be positioned using the adjustable stem. The contrast between the warm, timeworn leather and cool chrome gives the lamp a distinctive masculine character, well suited for a desk, library, study, or office.
The fixture is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with an appealing patinated finish that enhances its period character. Shade is not included.
