French Pine Folding Wine Tasting Table with “Champagne” and Fleurs de Lys Motifs
$5,500
About
Built in the Poitou region of France using reclaimed antique pine, this impressive Champagne wine tasting table was crafted in recent decades following traditional French vineyard and cellar forms. Measuring almost seven feet in length, the elongated oval top creates a striking presentation while offering generous surface space for entertaining. The tabletop is hand-painted with the word “Champagne” in red lettering, framed within a green cartouche and accented by black Fleur-de-Lis motifs at each corner, giving the piece strong regional identity and classic French character. The tabletop is constructed from wide antique pine planks salvaged from older structures, retaining visible knots, grain variation, and age markings that lend warmth and authenticity. A red-painted edge detail subtly outlines the top and enhances its graphic presence. The solid trestle base features shaped supports and cross bracing, engineered to allow the table to tilt upright into a vertical position when not in use, a practical feature traditionally intended for cellar storage and space efficiency. This antique-style Champagne table combines traditional craftsmanship with modern functionality and offers a wonderful way to serve Veuve Clicquot or other fine Champagne to friends and guests. Its substantial scale makes it ideal as a wine tasting table, long console, or statement piece in a wine cellar, tasting room, kitchen, or casual dining space. The condition is excellent, with surface wear, patina, and painted decoration intentionally preserved to highlight the antique character of the reclaimed wood. Dimensions: Open: 82.5 W x 38 D x 29.5 H inches Closed: 82.5 W x 24.5 D x 44.75 H inches
