Mid-Century French Carved Walnut Pedestal Round Dining Table with Parquetry Top
Crafted in the Pyrenees mountains of France half a century ago with 18th and 19th century old timber, the elegant six foot round table stands on a sturdy four hand turned columns pedestal base, supported by flat, hand carved feet for ultimate stability. The intricate top features marquetry decor made with antique walnut, oak and cherry, and is embellished with a large two-tone star motif in the center. The perimeter is further decorated with four two-tone stars along with four forged diamond shape nails. The Louis XIII style antique table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina with nicely distressed finish and wonderful character. This large fruitwood table suitable for eight to ten people, would make an impressive addition to any dining room or breakfast room. Measures: 70.25″ diameter 29.5″ height.
