Mid-Century French Louis XV Forged Wrought Iron Floor Lamp
$1,300
About
Place this elegant antique floor lamp and side table combination in a living room, salon, or reading corner for both function and decorative presence. Crafted in France circa 1960, the tall iron standard features a finely worked structure with a tripod base adorned with hand-forged scrolled motifs and acanthus leaf embellishments, showcasing a graceful Louis XV–inspired silhouette.
The slender shaft rises with a fluted and reeded design, accented with small ring details, leading to a single light fitted with a classic socket and harp. The piece retains its original circular glass shelf, offering a practical surface for a drink or book, supported by a decorative foliate bracket just above the base. The metal frame is finished in a warm gilt patinated tone with soft wear throughout, enhancing its authentic antique character.
The lamp is dressed with a pleated fabric shade, which is included, and has been newly wired to US standards for modern use. This versatile “lampadaire guéridon” blends lighting and occasional table functionality, making it ideal beside a sofa or armchair.
The piece is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with a rich aged patina and minor wear consistent with its history.
